ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Ann, and I am a commercial food and product photographer based in Detroit, MI​.

When I moved to the USA in January of 2015, I didn't really have an idea about what my occupation in a new country would be. Having gone to school for English language and literature back in Crimea, I could hardly surprise anyone with my speaking skills over here. I knew I had to shift my focus somewhere else. With a lot of free time to kill as a fresh immigrant, I quickly picked up a camera and began documenting our every day life, but mainly, the food I was cooking.

My grandma, who was a trained chef, used to call me her little cook because I was showing interest in culinary arts since I was very young, it flattered her a lot seeing me follow her path in a way. While I love food, photography and creating beautiful imagery is where my true passion lies. This is why I chose to pursue it professionally.
